Ke Huang
Founder / Head Coach
Read more
Coach Ke Huang is the founder and director of GameSpeed Academy, one of Southern California’s fastest-rising youth basketball programs. A lifelong athlete, Ke’s journey began with a deep passion for martial arts. Inspired by Bruce Lee and Jeet Kune Do, he sought out the most effective combat styles, immersing himself in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, no-gi grappling, boxing, and mixed martial arts. While earning his B.S. in Biological Sciences at Louisiana State University (LSU), Ke trained under Sam Hoger—former UFC fighter, founder of the LSU Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Club, and a first-season participant on The Ultimate Fighter series.
That scientific and martial arts foundation shaped his coaching philosophy: adaptability, precision, evidence-based training, and long-term athletic development. When his children, Bruce and Marissa, expressed an interest in basketball, Ke applied those principles to their development. What began as small training sessions at home quickly grew into coaching roles in recreational leagues, and eventually, competitive club teams at Sports Academy, where he refined his methods against some of the strongest talent in the region.
In 2023, Ke launched GameSpeed Academy to create a new standard for youth basketball: combining elite skill development with modern sports science. Ke is a USA Basketball Gold Licensed Coach and currently serves as the Head of Basketball for Emek Hebrew Academy, helping to elevate both the boys’ and girls’ basketball programs. His vision is to establish GameSpeed Academy as not just a club, but a transformative pathway for dedicated athletes seeking national competition, college exposure, and long-term athletic excellence.
